#1240 Saturday 2 January

Kaylia was wide awake at 3am ...... yelling with glee ..... I persuaded her to quieten down a bit and left her with her iPhone. It worked for a couple of hours and then she came upstairs and went to sleep ..... and slept ...... and slept!  She slept till 10am.

But ...... her bed was dry.  She's getting better all the time.

Her day was swimming at Bilgoman ..... then shopping.

Naomi made a delicious evening meal ..... Greek lamb.

Best wishes for the new year!  2015 was such a good year for Kaylia ..... I can only hope that it continues.

She is close to achieving the following ....

- clarity of speech

- no more wet bed at night

- going to sleep unaided

- social interaction skill

We hope that the following areas continue to progress .....

- happiness!

- imagination

- speech

I wish you could all have some time with her now .... she's such a delight!

If we ever win lotto, we will give each of you a ticket to fly out and spend some time with her.

After an easy drive from Cervantes to Darlington yesterday Kaylia was very happy to be home.   She ran all round the house ..... very excited!  

Today she will probably want to go swimming ...... 

#1237 Tuesday 29 December

People who watch "Thomas the Tank Engine" will know all about 'really useful engines' ...... well today I feel really useful!  The car has been repaired and we're back on the road.  I was up at 6am and got the job done while the day was cool.

Kaylia therefore has had more beach time at Jurien ..... and more pool time ...... and more spa time ......

She's worn out.  The last few nights she has been taking herself off to bed  .... no prompting ..... and just going to sleep!

Tomorrow we head home ..... Internet again! Yay.   The net access is barely enough for email and blog .... forget doing any work!  It's been an enforced real holiday.

#1236 Monday 28 December

The days at Cervantes are very enjoyable  ...... Kaylia has plenty of pool time and she is tired out at bedtime.  We have been very impressed by the generosity of the owner of the Pinnacles Beach Resort ..... since the car is broken, we tried to hire a car for a few days ..... none in town!  But Tony (the boss) says "I've got a car you can use." Wow!

So now we have managed to buy a new starter motor for the Verada and I will fit it tomorrow morning in the cool of the day.

The apartment we're in is immaculate and spacious ..... but tonight we cooked a BBQ and put the meat in a glass casserole dish ..... which then exploded on the meal table! We had quite a job clearing up the mess before we could eat.

Kaylia's in the spa bath.  She loves it.  We just have to make sure that she can't get hold of the shampoo ...... she did that today and when we went into the bathroom to check, we found her covered in bubbles ..... and bubbles everywhere!
