It's 1pm and we're waiting for Naomi to come home from work.  Kaylia is absolutely hyper with happiness!!! She's screeching and flapping .... then she does a lap of the house ..... then comes back to me to screech and flap some more!!   She's so happy.

This evening Naomi and I were given a real treat ..... it was after tea .... Tom and CC were both "tormenting" Kaylia in her room ... Kaylia was loving it and it was a real joy for us to watch.  We're so fortunate.

Kaylia's after school routine has really changed ..... most of you will remember how she would be dead keen for swimming till tea time .... this year she just wants to chill out on her room!  She spends lots of time on YouTube .....

I went to visit Maxine today ..... she's had a remarkable improvement and is looking much better .... touch wood!

#1264 Sunday 22 May

Kaylia has been to the movies today .... Zootopia ..... with Naomi, CC and Tom.  She's getting better at it .... she lasted through the session for a change.

While this was going on I was doing repairs on one of the Subarus .... changing the clutch master cylinder.   It's one of those jobs that need you to squirm under the dashboard on the floor. It's very hard work.

For those of you who know my sister Maxine ..... she is in a bad way at present.  She's in hospital and has deteriorated to the stage that she can barely move any more.  I am going to see her as much as possible and it's sad that it is not really practical to take Kaylia in to see her.

Kaylia has had a great tickle-time tonight with T and C ..... I'm so glad to have young people around to do this for her.

Last night we booked flights to Bali for all of us in the first week of July.  Sadly, Tom and Cecelia will not return with us.  They will continue on home at the end of the stay.

#1263 Wednesday 18 May

Phew - there were dramas today! 
First we had arranged for K to have her hospital visit (for teeth) on 3 June ..... then we found that the anesthetist for that day required a separate pre-op consult .... which for K is a big deal with a lot of travel and time out of school ..... so we changed the date to the 24th June.  Then in the morning mail came notice of her appointment to see the RPH spinal clinic .... on the 24th!!  This spinal appointment is like hens teeth and we can't change it .... so the dental has to be changed again  ..... the new date is 28th June

#1262 Monday 16 May

It's midday and we're home after going to the dentist.  She has the premolar that I've talked about before .... and she has a molar erupting as well.  The dentist says that it will be the molar that's causing her pain.  He says that the premolar needs to come out and that to keep a balanced set of teeth the corresponding premolar on the right side needs to come out too.  So she will be going into hospital in a few weeks time for this work..
