#2168 Wednesday 15th February

The wandering chook has not returned ..... and the one that did return has been so obviously wanting company .... I have given in and bought two new hens to make the "family" complete again.  They are the same breed so we hope that they will be just as  accepting of us.

Kaylia is off at her outside job today.  She clearly enjoys the day and when I drop her off in the morning she is rarin' to go!

#2167 Sunday 12th February

One of the chooks returned home yesterday.... she was clearly glad to be back and stayed close to me as I moved round.  I wonder if the other one will return?..... and where did they go?

#2166 Friday 10th February

Our gorgeous chooks have gone again.  I went up and down the hill and there's no sign of them.  On the positive side there are no piles of feathers.... nothing to say that they were taken by a dog or a fox......  but they haven't come home.   Very sad.

#2165 Saturday 4th February

Wve just arrived home after her usual trip to the op shop.  She found 14 dvds and she was visibly excited.... there must be something special about the collection!  On the way home she was crooning loudly.  When she's happy with something she croons.....  and this time it was at top volume!
I wish we could tap into her thoughts.

#2164 Thursday 2nd February

I always like that image .... and the refusal to accept the "labels" put on us.

"Curve Style" has commenced business again.  Lee (that runs it) has returned from her break and she was working with Kaylia today ..... sorting and labeling clothes.  Sales are slowly building ..... but the aim is to have a routine activity that teaches her some skills that are useful in the work scenario.  The "litmus test" is whether she is enjoying the activity and whether we can see her anticipation.

It has been good to see the number of people that are responding to FB posts about Kaylia.  I really love hearing from people who have spent time with us in the past ...... and finding out that some of you share my Landrover interest!   "Bob" is slowly progressing .... my fingers are firmly crossed that I might have an 'Engineers Certificate' this week.  This would allow me to go to the next stage of getting Bob registered for the road.
I've been adding "Anderson plug" circuits to Bob to allow appliances and connections. There are now sockets at the front, in the cab, behind the cab and inside the air compressor storage space.

#2163 Monday 30th January 2023

The day has gone as we expected .... it began with her opening 10 presents first thing in the morning.  This has become a tradition now .... she always expects ten presents!  (These are mostly normal clothing items ... but there are ten wrapped presents ..... that's what she appreciates.)

Then she had her normal day.  Kaylia and I went for a long drive ... out to York and then back via West Dale and Kalamunda ..... arriving home in time for Kaylia to go with Jenny (carer) till 4pm.  Then Naomi came home and it was time to ice the traditional pink cake and prepare her mini-party.

#2162 Saturday 28th January

I've been dreaming about some roads that I haven't travelled yet......

This is a part of the land that I've read about ....but never explored.
Perhaps when Bob gets his registration plates, I might go wandering.
