It's a Curve Style day...... Kaylia has had Lee guiding her in how to prepare the clothes for sale.

..... and this is around 43 years since Mt St Helen in USA erupted.... reminding us of just how small we are compared to nature. ..... and the thought of Yosemite if that should erupt. It's no wonder that life in the US seems so violent when they are constantly threatened by the forces of nature on that scale. 

Awesome! 

The Landrover is slowly progressing..... I have a list of about 6 tasks to be completed and then it might be ready.

Some thoughts for today from one of Naomi's favourite actors......

Kaylia has Curve Style today and Thursday..... she has Lee to help her process the clothes that are on sale in her eBay store.

Later..... Kaylia is a bit off tonight and asked for one of her old nursery rhymes.  Red Riding Hood! ...... and Kaylia actually corrected parts of the story.  

This story is the source of a frequently uttered saying when she's annoyed by Teddy..... Big Shiny Axe!!

Kaylia is enjoying life.... we've just been off to buy watermelon.... and then we feasted. 

She has an AAC device...... Augmentative and Alternative Communication. It's basically an ipad with special software on it.  She's able to construct a sentence using images..... and it will then speak. 

#2182 Sunday 30th April

I'm stuffed..... In recovery time after another Kanga accident where I managed to turn it completely upside-down. I used the winch on the Landrover to pull it back onto it's wheels but not before losing a quantity of fuel and a large part of the hydraulic oil.  It's an expensive accident in that way.

Kaylia has had a good weekend with her dvd hunting.... about 25 yesterday and another 16 today.  I expect one of her huge stacks of dvds will topple over soon.  UH-0H!

#2181 Sunday 23rd April

 We're at the Sebel Busselton using points from our timeshare club.  Kaylia is enjoying the op shops ..... last night she came home with 10 DVDs and they must have been very good ones!  We had about 2 hours of her crooning and droning ... her happy sounds.  And then she stayed in her own bed all night!  It might be the first time ever.  Usually we wake to find that she has crawled in between us .... often without disturbing our sleep.

It's funny to see how the wild ducks make use of the facilities that are provided. 

#2180 Friday 21st April

Tomorrow we drive down to Busselton for a 2 day break.  I've been telling the story of this trip at bedtime for Kaylia.... for ssoooo long!  I'll be glad to have it off the list of stories. 

We are very fortunate to have such a good natured daughter.  Granted that this is largely due to a good balance of medication......  when I remember the times that her medication was no right, I shudder.

..... but for now we can enjoy the good times. 

#2179 Tuesday 11th April

Car repair day..... naomi's Kia is in for repairs after an unknown person dinged the right front fender.  So we're having to manage on one car for a couple of weeks.

Today I've been on duty as Jenny (who normally cares for Kaylia on a Tuesday) has tested positive for covid!  It was movie Tuesday.... and "round the block" in the car. We did the Weir circuit and I decided to look at the one place that I had not been to.  The signpost did not have any description or warnings so off we went.  It turned out to be not much more than a meandering bike trail.  It took us into some serious 4wd country and we wandered for about 40 minutes!
