#890 Saturday 10 May

Phew!  The surgeon said the angiogram was a 10 minute procedure .... so I thought "no problemo! I can do that on Friday and still catch the plane to Bali on Saturday night."    Then the surgeon was called away on an emergency and I was left waiting till 6pm Friday .... so it was too late to go home till this morning.  Fortunately there's no much to pack so I was soon ready. 

.... Ooh ... What's the result you ask!

The angiogram showed that I have no blockages ..... so I have a good baseline to work from.

Kaylia didn't like me being away .... the poor thing will have a disrupted time for the next few days.  At least I won't be disturbing her intense "Mummy time" :-)

Chris and Lara are now in Adelaide.

We started a new story last night .... the 3 pigs and the wolf that huffed and puffed.  As usual Kaylia was "glued" and straight away she is trying to memorise it so she can say the story with Naomi.  Naomi and I discussed this and I think that what fascinates her is not the story itself ... but Naomi.  The story time gives her a chance for intensive "mummy time".

Today will be topsy turvy as I go into hospital this afternoon for an angiogram.

Kaylia has a new water toy to stim over.  The hose in the shower had broken and I've replaced it with a shower-rose that is full of colour!  When the water flows through it, it lights up and changes colour.  It's really neat .....

The photo doesn't do it justice ... but she likes it.

Trip report from "Boris and Co"

Hi we have crossed the nullarbor in two days after a great view in the gold mine in kalgoorlie and now we are in streaky bay. We drove around 3300 kilometer.

Kaylia had a good night .... we both slept early .... Kaylia tired from school and me from a full day of work filling in for the office reception (who is off sick).

Kaylia had her visit to the doctor yesterday.  All is going well.  He thought her stimming had decreased .... until she let rip with a typical Kaylia cackle!

#886 Monday 5 May

Kaylia has had a treat today ..... a visit to the doctor!   ..... I'm serious ..... She loves it.

It was time for a check up with her pardiatritian.  All is well.

Tonight she had me laughing .... I had sneezed .... and she copied my sneeze .... then pretended mummy's sneeze .... and her sneeze .... she is a very funny girl!

This happened 4 hours after the 10pm run.  The lesson here is that we must stick to the routine .... even if it looks as though she doesn't need it.
