Today has been a bad day of epic proportions. It began fine with Kaylia calm and happy ..... but before 9am at school she had attacked three adult staff members ...... I was called back to collect her and she's been suspended. We don't see any point in her continuing at school as she clearly doesn't want to be there .... and we can't have the risk of her attacking people. The trouble is that this also means that for her to attend the work placement is too big a risk.
Then after coming home she was fine till about 1:30pm ...... and then she escalated and kept on hurting Naomi. After 2 hours of trying to "bring her down" she finally decided to have some bubble bath time.
After tea she again tried to hurt Naomi ..... the trigger was that she was insisting on having a written schedule for the next two days ... and seeing that both days will be the same, Naomi put "Thursday + Friday" on it....... Kaylia's reaction was instant and violent.
We are having an emergency consult with the psychiatrist tomorrow ..... we are running out of management ideas.
