#1521 Saturday 8 April

This is Kaylia in the middle of a tickle session!

She's in a very happy mood at the moment.

She's playing with her new earplugs.  I got them with the idea that they may control noise without her having to wear the headphones.

So far she likes them.  If she uses them, it will make her less "odd" when out and about.

I'm waiting for a person who is to buy one of my old tools ..... so I can buy something else!!  .... and then after that, we'll go shopping.

#1520 Thursday 6 April

A very unusual event occurred this evening .... I was about to drive down to Midland to pick up Naomi .... Kaylia ALWAYS wants to go in the car so I called her.  But she was in the middle of a tickle session and she was having such a good time that she didn't want to go in the car!  Amazing.

She must have had a busy day at school today ..... she's very tired tonight.  She is thinking of "Rastamouse" at the moment .... it was the last utterance as the door closed.

Later:. After a while she wanted "blue blanket" .... after which she says "stay".  I'm touched!  She settled fairly quickly after that so it seemed that she just wanted some company.

#1519 Wednesday 5 April

This evening Naomi and I went to Kaylia's school for a teacher-parent meeting. As usual it was good to share about Kaylia and to hear how she is doing while at school.  We are so fortunate that Kaylia is going to that school!

One of the fascinating tidbits we found is that the xylophone that Kaylia recently brought home was NOT made from a kit at all .... It was completely fabricated in he manual arts class!  It is finished so nicely.  I met the MA teacher and I will try to sneak into one of the classes to see how Kaylia interacts there .... maybe I can do something in my shed to gain her interest.

#1518 Tuesday 4 April

It's 3:45 after school ... We're mooching on the bed ... in wind down mode.  Tea is in the oven... all is ok.

Tomorrow Naomi and I will go to the school for a meeting with the staff to discuss her progress.

The Subaru seems to have a fairly major gearbox problem. .... I have investigate whether it is terminal.

We're very fortunate to live in a situation where kangaroos come and rest a few metres from our windows.

#1517 Sunday 2 April

It's a wee bit tragic that my first measure of a day is whether Kaylia has had any bouts of ???? ..... well yesterday was a good day ..... just one and I saw it developing .... gave her some Lovan plus ibuprofen and she pulled out of it.  That was at about 12:30.  Before that she'd had a good time with Abbie cooking and bath time.

I'd decided to try cooking rendang for tea so after gathering the necessary ingredients at a local Asian market, I did so.  The result was excellent.

Now ..... today!  Stick to the routine!  Kaylia has already been memorising the April calendar ... she knows that today will be Aunty Maxine .... then op shop ... then home.
