It's after 8 am and she's still asleep !  Lovely!

I forgot to tell you that while Kaylia was on the swing yesterday, Teddy was making a lot of objection to being left out ...... here he is on the roof.

The Barina will be taken away this morning ..... it's been sold to a guy who has found a place overseas that can repair the ECU ..... he buys the car with a dead computer, sends the ECU away to be fixed ..... and then sells the repaired car go a profit!   It can't be repaired in Australia ..... so many cars are scrapped as a consequence.

#1234 Friday 15 April

As you know, Kaylia love playgrounds and swings ..... this morning we were planning the day and realised that we have an unused resource!  Looking out the window we spotted the tyre hanging from the tree branch just near our back fence.  It had been set up years ago by the back neighbour and Kaylia until now has been too small for it ... but not now!   So out we trooped ..... and she had a good time.   

While this was going on, a kangaroo was lounging about 5 metres away.  It was quite unconcerned about us..... just watched but didn't leave.

#1233 Wednesday 13 April

Hey Callum .... The Barina has been sold .... and I've bought another Subaru Forester ... another cheaply ...... all in one day! Phew. Kaylia has tagged along through it all ..... she's a gem.   ...... and at the end of the day after tea, Naomi wanted to go down to Bunnings to grab something for the office ..... Kaylia was hot to trot!   She's always ready for a car ride.

#1232 Tuesday 12 April

The Risperdal reduction is not looking good ..... there's quite an increase in agitation behavior and she had a slight anxiety attack this evening.   The dose has been reduced by 0.25ml per day .... we will keep it at that during the school holidays and observe.

We've decided tonight to cease trying to repair the Barina.  It's proving too hard to find the parts needed ..... and too expensive ...... I'm going to find another car to replace it.

Kaylia is working hard to improve her speech.  When prompted she tries hard .... but she forgets a lot of the time.

Today we had a bad shemozzle .... we found out halfway through the day that she actually had Friendship Club today ..... we thought it was on Thursday .....so she has missed out.  Since she was dancing with excitement anticipating it, to have missed it is a big blow.

#1231 Sunday 10 April

Yesterday was almost textbook ...... Kaylia likes it when the routine is followed.  After 2 days of holiday,  she's very keen to know when she can go back to school!

She had a lot of dancing yesterday.   The evening routine is changing ..... she's staying up a bit longer ..... and at "Dr Daddy" time, she's no longer insisting that the tv go off ..... so the adults can have a normal evening.

We are trying taking her off Risperdal during these holidays. We've tried before but we could see that she still needed it.  Maybe this time she will cope.   It would be great to have her off that medicine. Today is day 2 ..... the dose must be tapered off over the week ... so by next weekend we will be able to decide whether we put her back on it or if she can cope without.  The Risperdal acts to slow her mind down so that she can give her attention to the current task.  In the past it has been essential for school.   Hopefully she can control her attention herself now.   Fingers crossed!!

Today will be a change of routine ..... Aunty Mim is no longer living in Perth so we must find a new Sunday drive destination.  As a treat we will go to Bindoon this morning ..... the op shop and the bakery are calling!
