#1790 Friday 6 April

Life is busy .... and the blog suffers!

Now that we are without an aupair, I have to do the school runs.  This means that I can't start the office stuff till I get back from school at around 9:15am ..... and I have to cut short other activities and head to school by 2pm.  She is released from school at 2:45pm and we get home around 3:30 ..... then she usually wants a bubble bath!

She is still wearing her back brace all day.  This is one situation where her high pain tolerance is an advantage as the brace must be uncomfortable.  The edge of the brace leave indentations on her skin and it is clearly hot to wear.  ..... but she doesn't complain.   She probably has a few more years of wearing it.

We have another few days booked at the place in Busselton that Kaylia loves.  We will be there for the first week of the school holidays.  We've found a house-sitter who will come and stay at Cook Street to look after Teddy.

#1789 Tuesday 3 April

I had the colonoscopy this morning..... no problems..... Sigh of relief!  Of course that means that the period of fasting was over and we headed for junk food!

The afternoon was spent cuddling with Kaylia.  I was recovering from the anaesthetic.... and she had a pupil-free day.... a break from school..... so she appreciated the opportunity for concentrated "daddy time".   Lots of tickles and lots of talk about school tomorrow.

#1788 Monday 2 April

We're meeting with Aunty Nettie and Kaylia is having a late birthday....

Kaylia is very pleased with her presents.... lots of bling...... and several varieties of bubble bath!

She's becoming much more interested in actually wearing the bling these days..... it's no longer just dingle dangling.

#1787 Sunday 1 April

Of course I'm tempt to include some sort of April Fool's joke ... but I won't.

Today began with a Ward family gathering at a little cafe in South Perth ..... then home.  I spent the next couple of hours cleaning the bungalow after the departure of it's recent occupants.  The room was supposed to have been cleaned before they left on Thursday .... but I managed to fill half a wheelie bin with all the rubbish left behind .....  and we found many items that had been missing from the house!

Kaylia has been a gem as usual.   She is entranced with the idea of behaving well .... at every opportunity she looks for "Good Girl" praise.  It's a very desirable pattern that she has found for herself.

I'm on the countdown to a colonoscopy on Tuesday ..... all the normal preparation.
