#2080 Saturday 20th February

Kaylia has been very excited today.... her Uncle David is coming.  Every few minutes she asks "Uncle Dookie"?

Later.... he's here now and she's settled down and she's happy.

The floor sanding has been completed today ......

The finish is very good.  These photos of the room are obviously taken without any furniture ....

The floor was last sanded when we moved into the house in February 2002 .... somehow I doubt that I will be around when the floor next needs sanding LOL!

Naomi has a list of renovation tasks ...... I think the next task is to enclose the space under the stairs (top photo).  The guy that built the new kitchen for us is also going to build these cupboards.  We will probably build some cupboards in the bedroom behind this - to utilise the space under the stairs in that room.

Of course the "bungalow" project moves on.  The electrical wiring is now complete and I'm working on the bathroom.  The painting is next too.

Day 2 of the floor sanding......
When Kaylia arrived hoe this afternoon she just went straight to her room...... across the freshly varnished floor! Hopefully the second sanding and second coat of varnish will fix the resulting foot steps.  Now she's upstairs in our room..... insisting that we stay out!

We have to stay off the floor till Friday.

The electrical work couldn't be completely finished because there is no access to the house switchboard while the floor is being sanded.  Most of the electrical were done though.

#2077 Monday 15th February

It's been a busy day..... the living area floors are being sanded and surfaced.  It means that we have to stay off the floor for a couple of days.  This is easy for adults but hard for Kaylia.....  it's a big disruption of routine for her.

Tomorrow an electrician will be finishing the wiring in the "project"......   exciting!

Tonight we had tuna pasta a la Ian..... it was very good and very low carb to boot.
