#512 Saturday 11 February

It's been a quiet day .... Work this morning for Naomi and I while Kat took Kaylia off for swimming. After lunch we all slept!

Then late afternoon it was off to Mundaring for shopping.

Now it's an early bed time.

#511 Friday 10 Febtuary

We had a very welcome visit from Aden today .... Aden has been very involved with Kaylia's therapy in the past and I think he was quite impressed with her progress since.

Kaylia gets very excited about school these days ..... on the way to school she jigs about and drums her feet in anticipation .... it's so good to see her happiness.

Kat has some news too .... she's got a part time job 'waiting' at the Loose Box in Mundaring. This will be a real experience for her .... for those that don't know it, the Loose Box is one of the top restaurants in Perth.

My forget-ory is working well these days .... I'm 's'posed to have a fasting blood test .... but I keep forgetting to skip breakfast! Maybe I might remember today since I've told you about it.

#509 Wednesday 8 February

Well ... I'd forgotten how much is involved in our business accounts! With Sanggar on holiday I'm having to do it all myself .... and already I'm not used to working that hard!
Of course the @$;:%#}{ medicines don't help .... I struggle to string two thoughts together at the same time as staying awake! The brochure says that these effects will reduce with time .... I certainly hope so.

School is turning out OK after all .... our fears were unfounded. Kaylia is back in her groove.

#508 Tuesday 7 February

Balls!  Balls!
Yesterday she decided to empty out all the balls which were stored in her room  .... hundreds of 'em!  So we spent a long time last night supervising her picking the all up and putting them all away again!  At first it was a 'routine' and she seemed to enjoy it.  By the end she was expressing her displeasure.  But she did it.
Phew.
Today I feel crook .... new tablets that don't agree with me.

Kaylia has had her review this afternoon ... it was a very significant. My earlier feeling (that she had reached the point of "self-accumulating" knowledge) has been confirmed. We now begin a new phase of her therapy

8:04pm. Sanggar has just graduated at Curtin ..... Well done!

The evening was one of life-long memories .... It was managed really well by the uni with very personal touches throughout. The ceremony concluded with a highly appropriate song .... a snippet is included below to remind us who were there .... followed by an excellent fireworks display. This was made more impressive by being shot off from about 50 meters away!

She has all her family here to share the moment .... It was a privilege for me to be included and to meet Sanggar's family. There were about 15 or so there .... and most had flown from Indonesia to be there!

A reenactment of the moment for our cameras

I wasn't well but I'm so glad I was able to be there. What a night!

#507 Sunday 5 February

Naomi & Kaylia are down at the local swimming pool ... so I get a break.  This afternoon we'll go for a drive ... stop at Bunnings playground ... then over to visit a work-mate for a business meeting.  This is possible because Kaylia will have a new set of toys to play with at his place!

Zoe is in Austin (Texas USA) this week ... for a week of teaching prac.  A class of 30 kids .... so she  will have a hard job!  That size class is hard work even when it's your own class and you have all the routines in place.

The Bali villa now has it's own website!  The link at the right of the page has been changed from the agents website to our own website.  Feel free to tell other people about it.

One of the current problems ... or issues ... caused by Kaylia's 'routines' .... is the laundry!  We've just finished doing a huge load of laundry .... all hers.  She changes clothes about every half hour at least ... and puts the 'dirty' clothes in the washing basket!  If we were able to watch her really closely we'd be able to put those clothes back in her drawers .... but reality means that it usually doesn't happen.  So she just has very clean clothes.  One day we will be able to explain to her that it's OK to change clothes .... but most of the clothes  don't need to be washed yet.
