The BIG day ... Bilgoman opens! ...... and Kaylia doesn't want to get out of bed!! It's nearly 10am and she's watching YouTube and doing her drone. I guess that the later it is when she wants to go, the warmer the day will be.
Later .... It was about 11 when she finally surfaced and went to Bilgoman. She stayed till 1pm. All is well in her world.
Most of you will remember how Kaylia loves Bilgoman swimming pool ..... It closes over winter and we found out that the summer opening date is tomorrow! We had thought that it wasn't opening for weeks yet.
Last night at calendar time we spilled the beans to Kaylia ..... and then it was on for young and old! She could talk of nothing else for the rest of the night. I had to speak sternly so that she would go to sleep.
7:30pm. She is so wound up about Bilgoman tomorrow .... its going to be hard to get her off to sleep.
Kaylia was funny at tea time..... We were having "Little Caesars" pizza .... and she was completely focused on the chocolate pizza. She managed to eat 2 bits of BBQ pizza but then it was "Enough if this! Bring on the chocolate pizza!". From then on we had to insist that she leave the table till the rest of us had finished the first course ..... and she kept coming back to see if it was time!
The birthday went well .... Joe and Ellie cooked a really superb Mexican dish and we had Cheesecake for afters. For a change, Kaylia just ate and ate!
She was tired after school. After tea she had long shower and she was asleep by 8pm .... for a change! And she slept the the night.
11am. I've spent this morning removing the last bits of the solar HWS from the top roof. Its a step in the process of setting up the HWS to heat the spa. Once it is plumbed in, I can get a professional to complete the final step to make the spa operational.
That task has used up my days quota of energy! I'll have to rest for a while.
Happy Birthday Naomi! Joe and Ellie are cooking tonight .... we were going to have Lil Caesars pizza .... but they are closed on Tuesdays! So we will do that tomorrow instead.
Kaylia had another unsettled night with a wet bed again. She went so long without a wet bed that I had hoped that she was over it .... but it's back with a vengeance.
This morning I was writing to Chris (2013/14) and I started rereading the blog from that time. ..... lots of wet beds! The impression I finished with is that life is two steps forward and one step backward. We're making progress but .... Gee it's hard work at times.
Last night was another very unsettled time. Wet bed. She didn't really sleep till after 1am. We were expecting it because of the full moon .... but it's still hard to take. I had a "recovery sleep" this afternoon.
We have a possible explanation for her pain yesterday .... her period has arrived. It would be so much easier if Kaylia could tell us what the problem is .... Instead e have to guess ... and yesterday we guessed wrong.
A sad item from the news ..... a family found dead .... parents and 2 children ... both children with autism. No confirmation yet but it may be a case of the parents being unable to cope. I can well understand how this situation could arise. Autism is such a debilitating, isolating condition.
She had a bad pain attack yesterday .... it began around 3pm and it was clear that it was neck pain. At first she wanted mummy .... she pushed me away and only wanted mummy who wasn't home from work at that point. Then she wanted a drive. (This always works .. the distraction makes the pain tolerable). When we got home again, she wanted mummy again! Next trick is to use a heat pack. She wanted to stay sitting in the car while I got that ready ..... and during that time mummy came home.
We haven't had a bad attack like that for several weeks.
Today we are going to meet Mim and Steve at Rockingham .... a "halfway meeting point" ..... since they now live in Bunbury, we don't see much of them.... and Naomi has a birthday on Tuesday so it's a good excuse.
Bedtime .... We've had another bad pain attack from around 4:30 to 5:30 ..... made worse by her being very tired from the day out. Naomi eventually got it under control by bringing out a VERY big carrot ..... chocolate pizza! (We're going to have "Little Caesars" pizza on Tuesday for her birthday) ..... and of course only quiet, calm girls can have chocolate pizza!! This incentive got everything back under control.
