#1797 Friday 20 April

We're at the "Stone Cottage" in Abbey for lunch.....

Note the headphones.... she still wants to wear them when we're out and about. Today Naomi an Kaylia went shopping while I processed the pays for the fortnight.  We both have to do most of our normal work despite being "on holidays".

Kaylia is still obsessing on "school next Tuesday".... to which we usually respond with the number of days.... but today we're saying "hamburger!"   and she thinks it's a great joke. 

#1796 Wednesday 18 April

Today was a little bit of time out.... we went for a drive over to Nannup and then across to Balingup.  The road wound along beside the river the whole way through delightful hills with lots of trees.  We couldn't drive fast as the road was so meandering..... it was a beautiful drive.

After we got home, we went out for tea,  we had been observers of a parenting drama where a child... about 5..... manipulated his mother.  We watched the situation unfold and hoped that the mother wouldn't give in to the tactics being used .... but no.... the result was child 1, mum 0.  In times like that it would be wonderful if it were socially acceptable to lend a hand.

#1795 Sunday 15 April

We're at Busselton again.  Kaylia was very excited as we drove from Bunbury toward Busselton.  As we drove, she was searching for the 5km marker posts and counting down.  After we arrived at the Sebel, she was soon in the pool and she spent ages sitting on the ledge under the waterfall .... she lets the water dribble through her fingers and she 'zones out' .  This is a really good place for her.

We will be here for a week and we will drive home next Sunday.  We have found a house-sitter who is looking after Teddy while we're away.
