#686 Saturday 20 July

The moon is at work!   She didn't settle for ages last night and eventually settled downstairs.  Of course I then slept through the "wee run" time and next thing I know it's 4 am and she's come upstairs after wetting her bed downstairs.   Once again she didn't settle for a few hours and then I was rudely awoken by  her having another accident at 7am! Sheesh.

This morning I put on my plumbers hat .... the drains are blocking up so its important to fix the problem before I leave for Bali.   A little investigation soon found that the blockage was at the septic tank ... "I hope it doesn't need pumping out!"

..... but no .... once the lid was off the tank, the offending clump of roots was found and soon removed. Getting the lid back onto the tank was hard work.... those things are heavy!

It's a good thing I can still do this myself .... it saves heaps of money .

At 5:30am she has been awake for one and a half hours.  The iPads are great!

The disturbed night is "par for the course" as we approach full moon next Tuesday. Fortunately Naomi will be spared the "lunar madness" as Kaylia and I will be decamping to the villa tomorrow.

Yay .... Joanne has accepted and will be our next aupair!  .... and to top it off she is taking the opportunity to go to Bali with us on Saturday.

Evening

Kaylia spent the day swimming and showering and bathing ..... her world revolves round water!  ..... and next week in Bali she will probably start her old routine of swimming pool - then shower - then bath - then pool - then shower ..... and so on.

This evening we're meeting with a poor deluded soul who thinks she just might be able to fill Brynn's boots!  Joanne is from the UK and she seems alright.
Kaylia did her usual thing and accepted her straight away.

Miserable weather and its tax time ...... what more can I say!

Kaylia has had a good day again. She's spending much more time at home now and is doing well .... perhaps it has all been "transition blues"!

The observations of the 8 to 9 anxiety attack continue ....... today she slept till 9am and she's been very cheerful since!  I think we might be onto something.  It will be good to test the theory while in Bali next week.

#682 Sunday 14 July

An unusual night.   She gathered her bedding from upstairs and took herself down to her own room to sleep! Is this a sign that she is changing her ways?  Hopefully yes.

The 8 to 9 anxiety attack continued yesterday .... and we realised that it may well be happening each day .... but during school term she is in the car on the way to school ..... and that's the perfect treatment for the anxiety. So .... if we assume that it does actually happen each day between 8 and 9 ..... what's going on??!

3pm. We've been to Aunty Moo's and she's had lots of bath time ..... then it was lunch at Nandos followed by Big Office where we are now. Kaylia is playing with her toys while Naomi and I play with our toys!
