#1290 Saturday 2 July

After all the drinks she had last night, a wet bed was a given...... and at 9:20pm she opened the floodgates!   She had become quite good at bladder control but lately she has adopted teenager behavior .... and she just refuses to wee! A new tactic is needed.

During her operation last Tuesday ( for the teeth) she had a big lot of blood tests done ..... and the results are not good.   There are some serious effects showing .... of the long term use of Risperdal.  It's not good and we have do some serious thinking.  Fortunately Naomi's training is able to help here.  More updates to come.

We had gone on a tour of Kaylia's favorite places .... at Hypermart, J-Co was top of the list and we had a box of samples ..... but there were too many people and we retreated to the car.  A tour of Kuta was next ..... to show Tom and CC.   The first stop was the Purimas bakery ..... a large supply of Onde-Onde!

After a crawl through Kuta it was time for home and pool .... and massage ..... and tea at Gardenia 

#1289 Friday 1 July

The flight to Bali went well ..... Kaylia was fixated on landing .... "down, down" for most of the trip ..... but it was associated with elevated anxiety at only one point in the flight.  She managed to recover with a bit of help.  

On arrival we tried a new tactic .... we had arranged a letter from her paediatrition .... and we went to the passport counter for disabled passengers .... no queue!!! We breezed through.

Made was waiting for us and we were soon at the villa ..... Kaylia was VERY happy to be back.   After a swim we trooped of to Bobby's down on the beach .... for a very pleasant meal at a table right in the sand of the beachfront.  In the growing dusk it was very atmospheric.

I couldn't get Kaylia to sit still for the photo!

On the walk home we stocked up on Magnums!

#1288 Thursday 30 June

Last night Kaylia and I were talking about the Bali trip .... and I went through all her special places.  She seemed to have forgotten them because she became VERY excited .... dancing around ..... we spent the rest of the night talking about J-Co and Hypermart and Hardys .....

Today I guess the teachers will have a hot topic for talking.

We attended a teacher/parent meeting last night.  Kaylia couldn't be in a better school.  They are so good with her.

#1287 Tuesday 28 June

Hospital Day!! Last night she just wanted to talk about going to "dentist hospital" ..... eventually I had to threaten her ..... sleep or no hospital!

We were on the road at 6am .... she was first on the list.   It was the usual routine of numbing cream on the back of each hand .... then the pre-meds!   It wasn't long before she was very mellow ..... and very funny!  She wanted to rest her head on mummy ..... then her feet on me .... And before long she was right off the bed lying on us.

After the operation we were presented with the two teeth that had been removed..... very impressive teeth they are!  By then she was very groggy but just wanting to be in the car.

On the drive home she slept .... and missed out on one of those sights that go on YouTube!! A pair of huge low loaders ..... with huge dump trucks on board ..... were in front of us.  Someone had goofed badly because when they reached the railway bridge over the bypass,  they didn't fit!! I wish I could have stayed to see how they solved the problem ..... but we had to get Kaylia home.

Once home she slept the rest of the day. It's now 6pm and she's happy but wanting to stay in bed.

#1286 Monday 27 June

Klara and Rebecca arrived in the wee hours this morning after the long flight from Melbourne.  Needless to say they were very tired and they've had a quiet day.

K and R are both from Boras in Sweden.

The yellow placemark in the two clips above are Klara's house













 It's now 4:30pm and Kaylia is veging out in her room .... she was pleased to see K & R .... the penny will drop soon and she will realise that Tom and CC are leaving.  But she will have a good send off time with them in Bali.

We have all been very focused on the Brexit referendum .... it has a big impact on the future for Tom and CC.  Life is very uncertain all of a sudden.
