She's a delight!  I've told you that before .... but I'm telling you again.   All you splendid people who have shared her care over the years .... I really hope that you get the chance to see the new Kaylia.   She is so different.

#1254 Friday 22 January

For Callum ...... I've just bottled the next brew - Coopers Lager 5%. It'll be ready when you're back!

Kaylia has therapy this morning.  We're trying to do the sessions in the morning now as she handles it much better then.  She's really fired up over her program for next week.

I've just had a brainwave .... to provide power for the house, put a 12v generator in the water line where it exits the meter .... have that charge a set of batteries ... then run the house on 12v as far as possible.  Retain the grid supply for uses that 12v can't cater for.

#1253 Thursday 21 January

Today she has Friendship Club again.  She's getting very excited about the calendar .... she brings it to us often to talk about the days to come.  It's too often for us and we have to try and slow it down.

We have a new aupair to take over from Camille .... her name is April and she arrives on this coming Sunday.  She is bringing her cousin Jayde with her .... so we will still have two people around.  They are both from SE part of England.

Fingers crossed .... I think we've found our next aupair.  I'll add more information when it all becomes definite.

Kaylia's had another day at Friendship Club and came home very excited.  She really loves it.

She's also very excited about school starting in 2 weeks!  ..... so much so that we nearly had to "bust her" for nagging about it.  She knows better sentences ..... but she just can't / won't use them.

#1251 Monday 18 January

Kaylia had a treat this morning ..... a visit to the doctor!   We're a little concerned about her spine .... to our eye we wonder if she has excessive curvature .  So we'll get it looked at.  Hopefully it will just be a posture issue.

The search for a new aupair continues .... no prospects yet.   

Naomi is having a battle with the possums ..... she has some tomatoes growing and the possums like them!   I've secured some netting over the garden tub so I hope that will stop them.
