#1164 Saturday 6 June

It's nearly a week since the last entry on the blog.  In one sense this is really good news!  This blog is primarily about Kaylia and her life.  In the past the frequent entries have often been sharing the bad times of her autism .... gaining support from you all.  Much of it has been sharing the good times too ..... and lately the good times are largely overshadowing the bad times!  Isn't it marvelous!

In the past week I think she has wet her bed every night ..... that's the bad news.

In the past week I have been away and there have been no behavior issues resulting ... amazing!  She has taken my absence in her stride and adjusted.  She's growing up.  While I was around the villa, many of the people who know Kaylia have asked about her and it has been great to be able to report that she is so much better.

Why??  I think the foundation for the improvement has been our management of medication and "getting it right" ...... but I feel that the last step has been the un-processed food regime that we have adopted.  The evidence is not quantifiable but it seems to point to the accuracy of the idea that we have too much 'free glutamate' in our western diet.  Since changing our diet last year, we have observed a steady improvement in Kaylia's alertness, calmness and happiness.

May it continue!

#1163 Sunday 31 May

It's been another good day ..... I feel like a fraud because she's having such s good time.   She runs round the house screaming her head off ..... with happiness!!
Today we swapped the beds in the two downstairs rooms .... so we can try to get Kaylia to sleep in her own room ..... and she's all excited about it..... she's gathering all her favourite teddys and dolls.

Hannah and Callum went to Rottnest today ..... and here's the proof!
Isn't he a handsome thing!
