Happy Birthday Kaylia!!

She's now 12 and off to high school next week!





She woke at 4am this morning .... not because of her birthday .... she was cold.  She often kicks all the covers off and doesn't wake enough to pull them up again ..... so she heads for warm bodies to snuggle up with.  When she finally woke at 7:30am, she took a while to focus enough to enjoy things and it was as if a robot was opening presents!



This morning she has gone off to Swan Park ..... and this evening we will have a gathering at Sizzlers in Morley..... family will be joining us.

#1259 Friday 29 January

Today is the last day of Friendship Club for these holidays ...... last night she wanted to count the days till school starts.  She has her uniform and shoes and books all ready ...... 

#1258 Thursday 28 January

Today was a "bitsa" day .... it started with a practice drive to BCC so April would know the way ..... then it was swimming at Swan Park.  After lunch it was rest time followed by an early tea so that Kaylia could go down for a haircut.

AandJ have gone off looking for work for Jade (April is the Aupair).

#1257 Tuesday 26 January

Australia Day .... Invasion Day .....  we went to the lake and it was a really beaut day .... the water was perfect ..... but still too cold for April!  Kaylia did continual swims to the pontoon and back to Naomi.  In the afternoon the duo went into the city for the fireworks while we crashed.

..... and in the news, Matt Chun says :

#1256 Monday 25 January

It's 6am and there's a beaut thunderstorm crashing around us ..... it's getting very close.  Rain is coming down ..... watering the watermelon plants.

April and Jade arrived yesterday and settled in.  Kaylia took to them very quickly ..... her usual "ownership" signs are evident ...... flopping on top .... grabbing hands ..... doing the close up stare.   It's good.

Today has been friendship club. While Kaylia was there, I showed the girls round Fremantle and Rockingham.

This is at Point Peron.  After that we had lunch at Cicerellos and went into Perth.   This is at a shoe shop .....
