#1297 Saturday 9 July

What a change from Bali!  Today we've had a serious hail storm and at 2pm the temperature is still only 9 degrees.

This is all the ice collected on the shed roof!

Kaylia is in the sower ... nothing new there!  She has been happy to be home. She's asking for Bilgoman!!

#1296 Friday 8 July

Parting day .... very sad.  We flew south while Tom and CC flew north.

I think the only dry eyes were Kaylia's..... she doesn't really appreciate what was going down.

The flight to Perth was excellent for Kaylia ..... no upsets at all.  I was sitting on the aisle and spent a lot of the flight standing and walking .... The pain in my legs is quite bad and I'm going to have see if there's a fix.

We arrived at 1:30pm .... home to a very happy Teddy .... and no hot water.  Our new HWS is causing problems.

#1295 Thursday 7 July

Breakfast at Mama Putu's

The dreaded constipation showed its effects today ..... Kaylia was in a lot of pain.  I went and procured the "good stuff ". .... and after a lot of resistance from Kaylia, the medicine  was administered.  It didn't do much in the was of results..... but the pain went away.

#1294 Wednesday 6 July

Kaylia and I are having a "mooching " day .... she just wants to stay on the bed or swim in the pool.... I can't interest her in food .... so we've stayed home till now (2pm)




At the moment she's in the pool .....  It's a beautiful day and the water is perfect.

Naomi, CC and Tom are on a tour .... over to Tanah Lot and back ...... via the shops of course.

#1293 Tuesday 5 July

Today was Padang Bai day .... the crew drove there for a swim.  I couldn't face the problems the trip would present so I stayed home and caught up on some office work......

Before tea I thought I'd tackle a problem toenail that's bothering Kaylia...... so I negotiated with her .... one toe for a tickle session.   She didn't accept that and promptly ran to Tom to ask for a tickle.  I got there in time to tell Tom what she was doing!

After tea:  We had a very disturbing episode at tea ..... Kaylia wasn't very hungry ..... and after a while she suddenly threw her food across the table!  Naomi immediately removed her and took her home. .... she's now in the "sin bin" and she knows it.  The teenage times are producing some worrying trends.

#1292 Monday 4 July

Today was routine .... breakfast at Mama Putu .... then pool time ..... followed by a trip to Hardys. Lunch was sate from the street vendors..... then a long massage for Naomi while I took Kaylia for "car time". ..... a directionless wander so she can just chill out.   While driving I spied a bag shop .... we went back to investigate .... and found that it's a small piece of "bag heaven" ..... fixed price and prices about 50-60% of street prices!

While driving I stopped off to see a friend .... and with my new "look" they didn't recognise me! It was very funny.

We are now "the butterfly gang". We each have a temporary tattoo of a butterfly.

Teatime was just around the corner from the villa.... Kaylia almost didn't handle the meal .... she was quite overwhelmed by the noise levels.  With help we made it through the meal  and then I took her home while Naomi went to a nearby chemist to try and find a solution.

#1291 Sunday 3 July

The crew have gone to Ubud today ....

Kaylia had a super dooper milkshake .... look at her face!!

I stayed home cos I'm not feeling well .... so as a pick me up I've had another massage for my painful legs .... and a haircut .... and had my beard coloured and braided!

 

Ta da!!!   ..............  the finished results.

No braids after all ...  I like it well enough as is!

Teatime at Gardenia ...... and we had a snake drop from a tree right next to us 

..... plus a large gekko!  The gekko climbed my arm and sat on my shoulder while I ate.
