#1370 Saturday 15 October

..... and again!  Last night she wet the bed before the 10pm wee run!  She had done a wee at 7pm .... this is usually fine.  But not last night!  Its very frustrating.

Its 2 nights away from the full moon .... so we can expect her to have a bad night.

A philosophical thought for the day .....
Current there are debates raging on many issues .... end of life choice, marriage, abortion ..... The common thread is "Should society allow the individual to do this thing?"

Yet why is that the question?  Shouldn't we instead be debating why society controls our individual ability to choose what happens to me?

I'm back in bed at 12:30am after changing the wet sheets on her bed and settling her back to sleep .... touch wood!  She clearly hasn't finished with that problem.
Now I had better stay awake for awhile till I'm sure that she has gone back to sleep.  I hate having to wake again a short time after going to sleep.

The video has been posted by Get Up .... the video is really important to watch as it shows that the number of people in detention is minuscule compared with Australia's annual migrant intake ..... so why are there people in detention?

The figure of 800,000 is comprised of the number of visa grants per year in the Temporary (long-stay) and Permanent Migration Visa Program.  Surely there is room for compassion in this issue?

Back to our VIP .....
This morning Kaylia had a plaster cast taken of her body so that a back brace can be made for her.  The brace will straighten her upper spine and her body will slowly learn to conform to a healthy shape.

Kaylia will need to wear the brace 23 hours per day for a few years.

#1367 Tuesday 11 October

The wonders of technology .... its now 7pm and I have watched the plane that Naomi is aboard as it taxis to the end of the runway at Bali ..... then down the runway and turn south ..... I can now track it as it approaches Australia and on to Perth.
I'm hoping to settle Kaylia to sleep before I need to go to the airport.

School reports that she was very happy to be back at school today.

#1366 Monday 10 October

She slept really well last night.  After having a bath, she went straight to sleep!  BUT!! ..... I slept too..... too well ... and I didn't wake for the 10pm wee run!  At 5am the bed was wet.  This is the first wet bed in two months!  Its good progress.

Midday .....  I've been hearing reports from Naomi at the villa ..... things can be crazy in Bali at times .... we need a new temporary pool fence .... and the quotes so far are that a fence made from bamboo costs more than a fence made from steel!!

Every time a courier arrives at the front door, Teddy goes absolutely mad ..... the courier has just delivered a parcel for me.  It's another thing bought with the proceeds of the free smart watch sale..... it's a Bluedio bluetooth speaker.  I'm really pleased with it.

Bedtime:.  She has eaten well for a change.  At first she was reluctant but after a tentative first bite, she gobbled the rest.

#1365 Sunday 9 October

Kaylia an I took Teddy to Mt Helena for his haircut this morning...

Then it was off to visit Aunty Maxine.  Kaylia tried the chairlift again .... but she couldn't quite manage the controls and lost interest.

Now she is in the bath before bedtime.

Her eating hasn't changed today ..... The only thing she's eaten has been the pastry from a pie .... not the meat, just the pastry.  We had yummy pizza for tea and she wouldn't eat any of it.  She's not suffering from hunger at all so I guess she will eat when she wants too.  She shows no signs of distress ... she's very happy ....
