#2052 Saturday 22nd January

It's too hot!  We're all getting tired of it.  When we step out the door it's like stepping into an oven.  Fortunately Kaylia doesn't mind..... we get dvds and she stays in her cool room.

Cleo finished today. She has been caring for Kaylia for about 6 months and doing a terrific job. We will miss her.  She's gone to a career job as a phlebotomist.

#2051 Friday 21st January

Gee it was hot today. This heatwave is stretching on and on.

On a happy note, I didn't have a nightmare last night!  That makes 2 nights in a row.

#2050 Thursday 20th January

For the people interested in my projects.........

Parts arrived today and the motor is largely back in one piece (so to speak).  I just have to connect the fuel supply and the electricals and I will be ready to try starting it.  Of course getting electricals working is easier said than done.

Once it's running and the brakes are done it will be a good proposition for selling.

#2049 Wednesday 19th January

It was "2nd jab day" today!  Kaylia is now ok for school this year.  It's a huge relief for us.  Her reward was to be able to choose any op shop and have 20 dvds.  We've just arrived home and she went straight to her room...... and soon after there was a huge CRASH! She's stacked all the dvds in a "wall" that is 2 meters tall.... and the stack has come tumbling down.  The floor of her room was covered in dvds. Now she's gathering a selection of dvds to recycle.

After a while she has called for help and she wants to take them all to the op shop NOW!  She filled 8 shopping bags and we took them all  to the Salvos store.

PS.... She's had mild after effects of the jab.  The usual pain medication has done the trick.

#2048 Sunday 16th January

This is the other landrover.....  It's actually a Range Rover chassis and running gear..... with a land rover body on top.  This is basically what Rover did years ago. When Rover began the Range Rover, they were making the Series 3 model. The Rangie was much better than the Series 3 and so they made the 110 model by adding the good features of the Range Rover to the traditional Landrover body.   And this vehicle that I've bought is a "homemade version" of the 110.
