#1078 Friday 16 January

Naomi and I were discussing Kaylia's two new teeth last night ..... and the penny dropped!! That's why she has been having such a bad time in the past couple of days ..... she always has a lot of pain from emerging teeth. Of course she still isn't able to tell us when she's in pain ..... 

She is really happy when we tell her that the dentist will be pleased with her new teeth.... she beams!  Her dentist visit will be when we get home from Bali.

#1077 Thursday 15 January

The battle with anxiety / obsession / nagging .... whatever! .... continues.   The behavior seems to come from a range of causes .... so how we handle it each time depends on the reason at that particular moment ..... or the mix of reasons!   At any given moment a very similar behavior might be the result of a variety of triggers ..... and the correct way of responding to one trigger can be the wrong response to another trigger.

The good thing is that she gets through it .... and she puts her happy feet back on afterward.... and we have our delightful girl again.

#1076 Tuesday 13 January

As you know, Kaylia is very big on having things ..... and people .... in the place they are "supposed " to be.  Last night she got me upstairs .... then she took Naomi downstairs to watch a DVD with her!  She's a funny thing at times.

Evening

It feels as if it's been a hard day ..... she can be wearing at times..... particularly so on days when she does a lot of obsessing about doctors!

#1075 Monday 12 January

It's good to have a happy Kaylia again.   Yesterday we were downstairs on the computer and she found a folder of videos that she hadn't seen for ages ..... so for 3 hours she danced to some of her favorite videos .... Playschool, Wiggles and Tina Arena. She was tired!  As soon as tea had been finished, she went upstairs.

A funny moment ..... as you know, the nagging is still a battle and last night we tried to divert her by singing one of her current favorite songs (Paloma Faith - Only love can hurt like this) ..... so Kaylia immediately begins nagging to that tune!!
