#955 Friday 25 July

Last night I was beginning to get annoyed with her saying "swimming ... swimming ...." It was way too late to think about going to the pool .... then I thought "Perhaps she wants to talk about it!"  Sure enough that was it.  She was so pleased when we coached her through putting her thoughts into sentences to talk about how she likes swimming.

Later I asked Kaylia "Which do you like best .... swimming or school?"  I fully expected her to be a bit blank ... not understanding the concept .... but no, she clearly got it and answered quick as a flash "SCHOOL!!"
Her love of school is such a good thing.

We've been able to arrange to stay at a friend's Yanchep beach house during the next school holiday long weekend .... Kaylia will love it!

This morning I found a Lovan tablet under the dishwasher!  It was probably dropped on Wednesday morning and it would explain her 'attack' on Wednesday afternoon.  The Lovan is very quick acting .... both for taking it and for missing it.  It reinforces the need to be hawk-eyed when she is taking her medicine ....  she can be very slap-dash.

#954 Wednesday 23 July

Her first day back at school!  She was very happy this morning.   Last night we were using the "big stick" to get her to settle to sleep ..... "If you don't go to sleep, you won't be able to go to school!"   Amazing.

This afternoon when she got home she was worn out .... so it was "hot bubble bath time".

#953 Tuesday 22 July

Monday has slipped past unnoticed ..... things were too busy.  Kaylia is really harping on "goool". Fortunately she will be at school tomorrow.  She'll be very happy!

Last night she had a long bout of what I think was a headache.  It's very hard to tell what it is .  We rule out the obvious ... temperature, ears .... then we try to get her to tell us if it's tummy or head.   Tummy is likely to be constipation and head is likely to be dehydration.  The cure for both is water .... so drink Kaylia!

After she recovered, she stayed up with us to watch TV .... this is a new development .... she usually demands that we turn TV off and take her to bed.  She's growing up.

#952 Sunday 20 July

Kerry on a climbing wall.
Yes .... she's really climbing upside down!  She's stiff and sore now.
