She got a "telling off" last night at 2am ..... this is unusual ..... but! ......  she had earlier refused to do a wee at 10pm and I was pleased in a way ... it means that she is listening to her body.  She then got up at 2am to do a wee .... and then came upstairs.  She wanted to talk .... so I sent her downstairs to sleep.  Then she comes upstairs soon after wanting me to take off the band-aid on her finger!  That was enough!  I took her downstairs and gave firm instructions that she was to SLEEP!

She did.

It's now 4:30pm and she's had her bath time.

I have a mighty button and no problems with my penius.

Since my brain is way way better than the best encyclopedia.

I like to tweet the lies of racist grievances historical
When Russian ties are mentioned I deny them categorical
I do not feel the sting of words because I am a venious

Many people see my brain and say it's like a work of art.....

And when I type ellipsis I use far too many periods.....

I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters economical,
I understand the 1% must have tax that is nominal,

When I became the President it wasn't what I meant to do.

My hands, they gesture swiftly to obscure my digits minuscule.

In bed I lay while dripping burger sauce into my belly folds.

I am large and I am orange and my hair is all original.

Kaylia had a good day .... she was excited as usual on the way home .... and headed straight for the bath!

..... but my day?  Weird!  We are currently having NBN woes and .....

This is a report on the supposed appointment for NBN to visit the site to deal with a fault.

The day began with speed around 7 Mbps down and 6 up.  Up speed is always the same but down speed fluctuates between zero and 8.

No one came from NBN.

I received a phone call from a heavily accented person saying he was from Telstra ....  I almost hung up at that point  .... I always assume spam if I get a call from anyone saying he's from Telstra ..... but I listened a little longer and it seemed that he was actually calling about our fault.  He seemed to be saying that the fault was that the exchange had the wrong settings for talking to Telstra .... a bit sus? ....and that he would fix that before correcting the settings for all the houses in Cook Street.  He would call back when it was fixed.  He gave a reference number for his call.   The whole call was difficult to understand because of the poor English.

He didn't call back.  Our connection speed is still around 7-8Mbps down and 6 up.  It seems to be stable now .... before it was fluctuating wildly..

The current connection speed under NBN is still about 75% of the speed we always had under ADSL

So I'm puzzled ... did anything happen today? If it did, was it Telstra or NBN?

 Later:  Weirder still!  After all that I received a call from iiNet  ..... NBN had reported to them that we were not present for our appointment with the NBN tech!  Apparently NBN had telephoned before their visit and we did not answer .... so therefore NBN thinks we weren't there! (We were there the whole time.)  The problem is that most of the time the phone does not work!  .... and neither does my mobile!  Sheesh! 

NBN are coming again ..... and I left instructions "Do NOT telephone.... knock on the door!"

#1847 Tuesday 17 July

Day One back at school .... she's very happy! 

Isn't it good that so much of her life is about happy times!  As I write, it's 8:15pm and she's in bed .... she's searching You tube for the music she knows is there .... but she struggles to spell the song's name so that she can find it.  She jumps out of bed and comes out to us.  We struggle to understand what she is saying ..... and we all engage in a trial and error search process!  She seems satisfied with the result and she goes back to bed.  I'll give her another 10 minutes before curfew time.  My system is to insist that she stops talking and stops wriggling .... she is very obedient and she soon drops off to sleep.

You may recall a post recently about the Allis Chalmers tractor? .... it was in Post #1831 on 25th June ......... well here is a photo of me driving my restored Allis Chalmers B tractor in a Busselton street parade in about 1990.  The trailer being towed has several running engines aboard and the red thing in front is a very old hay baler.  The photo was one of an album full that I collected yesterday from Anne.  There are many photos of this "engine phase" .... the memories are good.

Today we did the Bindoon drive .... op shop and mandarins!  Then we collected Casey from the train station.  It turns out that Casey is a musician too ... she has a bass ukulele .... and it was a good afternoon.  Fortunately Kaylia was in the bath and we had an opportunity to play without being told "STOP!"  Years ago she really loved having me play the guitar and sing her songs .... but now she just says Stop.
