#1239 Saturday 23 April

This morning we were given a special treat!  You know that there has been a mother roo plus joey hanging around lately ..... this morning they were eating their breakfast in easy view when the joey decided to play!  Mum continued eating while the joey raced round and round the yard. It was clearly exuberant play and it kept it up for quite a while.   We loved it!

Kaylia is still sick with the flu .... no appetite and she's happy to flop around. CC has it too now.

#1238 Friday 22 April

Kaylia has had Friendship Club today ..... she is sick with a cough etc but we couldn't stop her going ..... she was SO excited.  She gave up midday and asked to go home so we know she really is sick!

#1237 Wednesday 20 April

After a very pleasant 3 nights at the resort we're heading home.  This is a model of the place and we were in this unit. (arrow to be added)

That's information for all those who have stayed there with us in over years.

We've stopped at Waroona for an op shop break ..... The drive from Harvey to Waroona has been very sobering.  Seeing the extent of the burnt out areas has impressed me with the scale of the disaster.  I've had a number of years on the Northcliffe fire brigade and I've never seen anything like this.  It must have been horrific.

#1236 Sunday 17 April

It's 3:30am ..... Kaylia is wide awake and so I'm downstairs keeping her company. Why does she wake up?  She has the typical pattern of being either "full on" or "full off" ....... if she is asleep, she's out like a light ...... but if she's not asleep, she rolls around continually in a vigorous way ...... and the bedding gets tangled up ..... so she wakes!   So then I have to come and remake the bed and then try to get her off to sleep again without the vigorous rolling.

Yesterday we went shopping at about 5pm and as we drove through Darlington, we noticed a truck loading a silver Barina!  Sure enough it was the one we had sold a few hours before!   It clearly didn't get far after being driven off.  Poor guy!

Today we head down to Busselton for 3 days at the APVC resort ..... one of Kaylia's favourite places!  The pool and spa are singing their song ......
