She's rarin' to go at 7:30 ..... and she's been like this since 4am.  We are wondering if the change in medication is doing it .... I hope not.

#1309 Thursday 28 July

This morning was a late start ...... she had a follow-up appointment from her endoscopy.  It was all clear .... no sign of acid damage or coeliac disease.

Then we had to rendezvous with her class in the city.  As we drove past the railway station, the class was waiting at the cross walk!  Quick ... Park the car and hurry after them. I calculated that they might already be in the Carillion Arcade where we were to meet ..... so I rang.  "Where are you now?"  ..... "Parliament House!!". They had hopped on a Cat bus just after I saw them at the station.

So K and I are waiting in the food Hall .... dangerous!

We eventually connected and I went off back to the office.

Tonight at the tea table, Naomi was praising Kaylia's eating method and said "....That's the way!".    Kaylia immediately responded with the song "That's the way ... ah huh ah huh ... ah like it!"

..... and now the record's stuck!

#1307 Tuesday 26 July

It's just before bedtime and we're all in Kaylia's room on her bed.  She likes this family time. 
Last night she had a bad time with her painful neck. It will be very good when we can finally go for her appointment to have the brace made.  I think she will like it.

I was looking at the blog stats today .... and there's a lot of readers! I hope the blog gives you a good sense of what's going on for Kaylia.

Kaylia says hi! As we lie on the bed, I'm telling her about all of you that are interested in her ..... she understands and says "Hi" to you.

Tonight I signed up to try and support the Get Up action squad .... to protest where possible about the terrible things that our government is doing to asylum seekers.  Many of you will know how ashamed Naomi and I are of Australian policy. This activity may be something we can do for a change.

Happy birthday Colin!  In usual Kaylia fashion she sat .... ate .... then "Car!"   Apparently this is fairly typical for her age .... if this is so, I'll be glad when she outgrows it.

With the transition to the new medicine, she's like a clockwork toy that's always fully wound ..... every sound is at top volume .... every movement is violent.  My bruises are constant.
