#1647 Saturday 9 September

As usual Kaylia wanted to go for a drive after breakfast..... routine!

We drove a curcuit via Boya and .... coming over the hill past the horseriding school, I was presented with this sight

...... a purple paddock with roos erupting!
.... and then I see an article in the news saying that roo numbers are increasing to the point that it is affecting other animals..... and that we humans should eat more kangaroo meat to help control the numbers.   Well.... the same argument can be applied to homo sapiens.....  there are too many humans ... so maybe we should eat them too!

#1646 Friday 8 September

Once again I am amazed by the things she is making at school.......

I really must seek an opportunity to observe just how this standard of work is achieved.
Kaylia seems rightly proud of what she has made.

Kaylia has new shoes.... 2 sizes bigger than my shoes!  She is possibly going to grow much taller than she is now.

#1644 Wednesday 6 September

4pm Kaylia is home from school.... she had cooking today and made pancakes!  We'll be able to get her cooking them at home soon.   Now we're having afternoon flop time ..... she's droning away beside me.... draped all over me.  Ownership!

#1643 Tuesday 5 September

We're at the hospital..... the new brace is being trimmed and adjusted.  Kaylia is being the perfect patient.... the new brace will soon be ready and then we will go to Fremantle where her class is having an excursion.  When we find them she will be very happy.

Later:  It turned into a 3 hour ordeal ..... the guys would take the brace to the workshop to make changes and come back after about 30-45 minutes .... we would test the changes and then they would go off again.  Kaylia and I would wait in the room for them to return.  It was very hard work to keep her calm and happy  through all this.

Then it was off to Fremantle .... when we found the class group at Cicerellos, all her friends wanted to see the  new brace!  There were several comments from the teachers that she had been really missed .... the group wasn't the same without her.

It's wonderful that she can have this social group.

#1642 Monday 4 September

It's 4pm and it's afternoon flop time after school..... Kaylia and I lie on the bed and I try to get her to tell me about the day at school.... Who did she see? What games did she play? Did she do reading? TV? Cooking?   After a while, it's just YouTube chill out time.   This time has become part of her routine and she is able to unwind.
