She slept well last night and I followed the routine of going down to spend some time with her at 6am ... she was wide awake with lots of "Bali" talk. I said "Sleep time ...." and she went straight to sleep again .... and slept soundly till 10am! Casey had planned a swimming morning with her but no .... Kaylia wanted to go to the shops. So off they went shopping .... practicing choosing what to buy within a budget .... and using EFTPOS ..... and she came home with a toy dolphin. Of course Kaylia wanted to go into the bath again .... and the dolphin swims! ...... and it makes a dolphin sound too!
It's now 3pm and Kaylia is still in the bath.

This sounds like a really effective way to stop the government's inhumane practices ........ can you sign the petition too?
Can you add your name to the petition calling on Australian airlines to rule out engaging in Dutton's human rights abuses?
On the home front, Kaylia is very happy as usual .... she wakes up in the early hours .... read 2am ..... and wants to know if she is going to school today!
It's 10:30am and we have just been hit with a very heavy downpour of hail .... and last night the winds were very strong at 1am, When Andrew and Catriona were here in October, they did a magnificent job of splitting / stacking firewood - using the Kinetic splitter. I looked at the pile and thought that we had at least a supply for two winters ..... but no .... we have about one week of firewood left and then I'll have to start splitting again. Sub text ..... Help Andrew - come back! (Joking!)

It's been time to buy a new pair of shoes for Kaylia ..... she makes some interesting choices at times ..... she had the choice of a couple of pairs all the same size .... just different colours. She chose a grey colour ..... not the blue shoes that we expected her to opt for. She now wears shoes bigger than I do! She is going to be tall.

It's 4:30pm .... and what a surprise! .... Kaylia's in the bath! We sometimes wonder if passers by in the street can hear her singing the bath and if they wonder at it.
I'm struggling to stay awake today ..... a new medicine that I started on yesterday .... and as usual, the side effects are drowsiness and nausea. The nausea usually fades but the drowsiness is a problem.

Kaylia and I are parked outside an op shop at 1pm while Naomi gets her fix! We've been over to visit Aunty Maxine.... and Kaylia had bath #2 for today. Life with Kaylia is very predictable and I often wonder whether that is her?.... or us? Having such a predictable life can be good.... and Kaylia copes very well with changes when needed.
