We attended a meeting with Kaylia's teacher yesterday ..... it was very reassuring. The plan (IEP) is very sensible and appropriate ... we came away feeling that Kaylia is in good hands there.
I'm still struggling with the medicine I'm on .... constantly sleepy. I had three sleeps during today. If I can summon the energy to see the doctor, I'll get the medicine changed.

Home again! Kaylia is very happy to see me. (Naomi isn't home from uni yet). I was picked up at the airport by Sanggar.

#530 Tuesday 6 March
After a good night I felt a bit energetic so I climbed up on the roof to check the waterproofing job. Most of the work has been completed but bedroom 4 roof has not been done yet. This is probably why we haven't had the bill yet!
Meeces are still a problem .... I bought a few packets of my favourite cereal drink yesterday and left them on the kitchen bench. The mice had helped themselves overnight! They obviously like it too.
1pm .... We've had an inspection from government men ... so that the original building permit can be replaced. This is the first step in arranging the official license to operate a villa rental business.
Then it was snooze time. The medicine means that yesterdays activity has knocked me out .... sleepy time today. It has the advantage that the time on the plane goes very quickly!
3pm I was woken by big thunder. Its bright sunshine here and quite hot ..... but there's a big storm just a few kilometres away. If it comes this way .......
Made showed me a spot just along the road to Hardys where a 'mini cyclone' went through recently .... ripped trees to bits along a path about 50 metres wide. Nothing 100 metres away!
7pm Its been another day of sleeping. I went to Mama Putus for sate tonight and now its time for bed again!

#529 Monday 5 March
Yesterday turned into a real day of rest .... apart from a walk to get some lunch (and a new bag) ... I've stayed in bed for 30 hours ..... sleeping most of the time. There's no food in the house so I'll have to get out and go shopping today. I'll also try to find out the 'state of play' with the villa business preparations.
It rained solidly last night.
8:20am Feeling more chirpy now. I've set up my 'office' and I'm preparing for the day's sortie
.... I've tried to arrange an electrician .... I wonder what will happen?
10:45 ... I've been shopping for groceries ..... ordered some villa business cards, some villa WIFI cards ..... and a drain grate for the corner of the jalan. The drain currently has a concrete lid ... which of course stops the water going into the drain (amazing!) ... so I've arranged for a steel grate to be made for the drain.

...... and this is the new grate
.... and when we got back, there are workmen making a concrete footpath in Jn Mertasari .... for 25k Rp they will pour a bit of concrete round the Belenjong street sign to make it stand up straight!
2:30pm ..... the electricians are here ... replacing quite a few bits of wiring in the garage. (I thought it would be needed.) While this is happening, Made & I have been over to Remo in Denpasar to get some computer doo-dads. I can now use the lovely big TV as a monitor for my laptop .... cool.
The power is off down the road ... but OK in the villa. It means that the ATMs don't work so I can't get money to pay the guys!
Evening: All ended OK. I had to go as far as Hardys to find a working ATM. On the way we passed the cause of the power problems ...... workers were replacing a large transformer. It was a slow job as they were using a block and tackle to get it into place.

#528 Sunday 4 March
After a delayed flight last night .... and the dreaded bus ride from the plane to the terminal .... I was quickly home.
No power . The ceiling repairs have been done and the roof leaks appear to be fixed .... it was raining but no drips or wet floor .... but the electrical fault hasn't been fixed yet so the garage lights still can't be used.
This morning is cool and cloudy. I feel like lead as usual so today will be a lot of resting.
