#1083 Saturday 24 January

Last day.  

In the next step in the battle against the roof leaks,  the maintenance needed hasn't been completed and I'll need to come back in a few days to get things ready for the next guests.

Evening 

It's been a nagging day ..... Naomi asked for a guess at the number of times a day .... I think it would be around 50 times a day ..... at least at the end of the day she will accept "no more dentist till tomorrow".

Tomorrow we head home.  This trip has been a roller coaster ride..... Kaylia has been a terror at times and a joy at other times..... I think we're worn out.

#1082 Friday 23 January

It's been a busy few days ..... the obsessive behavior with the dentist continues .... it's made almost bearable by her obvious pleasure when we tell her the story we've made up about her teeth.

Yesterday we visited Rick and Julie at the resort in Nusa Dua ..... we just happened to all be in Bali on the same dates.  Afterward they came back to the villa to have a look.

Kaylia continues to have her favorite food and drinks ..... she loves the fruit juices.

Midday ..... Naomi has had a morning to herself .... Kaylia and have been to "Peek-a-Boo" ..... then to Macdonalds .... then to Hardys ..... then back to Gardenia for lunch ..... and now it's chill time at home.

I still haven't been able to arrange the needed maintenance.... 

#1081 Tuesday 20 January

It's been an uppity-downity day .... we've worked hard to control the tooth pain or ear ache or whatever else it might be ..... with some success .... but not all the time.  We still are not sure what it is.

Still .... she's enjoyed her time in the bath ..... and her time with mummy.

#1080 Monday 19 January

It's 5pm and the poor thing has been crying with pain .... we thought it was her new teeth pushing through but it really seems to be ear-ache.   We've got some pain killer drops and it looks as if it's doing the trick.  I hope so ... there's nothing as bad as a child in pain.

8pm The ear drops did the trick and she's had some happy time before going to sleep.

Earlier in the day, Kerrie was sitting on the bed when one of the gekkos running around the ceiling "blessed" her ..... smack on the shoulder.   I don't think she really appreciated the honor!!

#1079 Sunday 18 January

The flight up to Bali last night was the worst in a long time!  Kaylia was fine till about halfway through the flight ..... and then something triggered her and she became quite distraught .... wanting to be down!  Landed!  It took a lot of effort but Naomi managed to calm her about 15 minutes before we landed.   It was very upsetting for all of us .... a reminder of the bad old days.

Today has been back into the groove.  She's happy again.
