#1301 Saturday 16 July

Well .... it's over and we're home.   It was a negative result so it means that Kaylia is controlling the regurgitating ..... that's good but it means we have to encourage her not to do it!  Her aesophagus is showing signs of irritation from the stomach acids.

We were up at 5am and at the hospital at 6:30am.  Her ward was deep in the bowels of the building .... it was an amazing trek to get there .... and I had to do it 4 times to attend to car parking!  Navigating the labyrinth was not helped by wrong signs in lifts etc!!

Now that we're home Naomi has collapsed in bed .... it seems that she has caught some variety of viral wog in Bali ..... she has a temperature, rash, joint pains and so on.  The doctor has done blood tests to try and pin it down.

Kaylia needs to sleep after the hospital procedure ..... but she's refusing!  Ho hum.

#1300 Friday 15 July

All of our "family" of past Kaylia enthusiasts will remember our Friday night ritual of Chinese take-away from Dragon Village ....... well tonight the orders were well and truly messed up!  Last week we were short a meal ..., and this week we got someone else's order!!  As you can imagine we are "not happy Jan!!"  Of course in wont change our routine because the food is just sooooo good.

Tomorrow is hospital again.  We have to be at the hospital at 6:30am ..... so it means a 5am wake up and rise for us!! Kaylia is very excited as usual.  I expect that the result will be negative .... that the regurgitation is voluntary ..... but we have to go through the exercise to make sure there is no real problem.

Kaylia had "Friendship Club" today ..... but she didn't want to stay!   We had to pick up again .... it's very strange.

#1299 Wednesday 13 July

Things are quiet on the blog lately because the office is going through upheaval as it changes to a new accounting system ..... which means that I have no free time for writing!  (This is at 5am)

Kaylia is going well ..... she can't wait to go back to school next week.  On Saturday coming she goes to hospital for and endoscopy ...... to see if there is any reason for her regurgitating.   It could just be a stim .... but it could be a result of a medical problem.

She is talking to herself at a great rate lately ..... it's all babble .... but it's still a delight to hear.  It's a very happy sound ....

#1298 Sunday 10 July

It's 2:30am ..... I was woken by a loud thump.  It could have been the sound of Kaylia falling out of bed ..... so I went down to investigate.   No .... she's still in bed.  She's turned round so that she's lying across the bed with her head against the brick wall.  So the best explanation is that she has been throwing herself around and the thump was head vs wall!!   It didn't wake her so she might have a headache in the morning.

The way she throws herself round at night can be a problem!  One night last week I was rudely woken by being "corked" in the thigh!  Boy did that hurt.

I've just checked email and and here's a big "Hi!" to Chris..... he's bemoaning the fact that it is exactly 2 years since he left us.  They are very good memories..... I think are hearts are getting much larger ..... we have so many friends to hold in our hearts.
