#1251 Monday 18 January

Kaylia had a treat this morning ..... a visit to the doctor!   We're a little concerned about her spine .... to our eye we wonder if she has excessive curvature .  So we'll get it looked at.  Hopefully it will just be a posture issue.

The search for a new aupair continues .... no prospects yet.   

Naomi is having a battle with the possums ..... she has some tomatoes growing and the possums like them!   I've secured some netting over the garden tub so I hope that will stop them.

#1250 Saturday 16 January

It's been beach at Hillarys this morning .... followed by bubble bath time.   Now there's a thunderstorm rumbling away and she's dancing in front of the mirrors. Naomi will be home soon and we'll go off to the shops ..... the routine.

Later:  this afternoon she asked me to help her with a series of actions that ended up with her having the parts she needed to make a new dingle dangle.  It clearly showed that she had thought it all out and visualised the final result.   This excellent ..... 

#1249 Friday 15 January

Another day of Friendship Club .... she's come home very excited ..... her way of telling us is not words .... instead she flaps and uses her "happy motions" .... a sort of chortling sound and a particular facial expression.  She might grow out of this in time so I must try to capture it on video.

#1248 Thursday 14 January

We're looking for a new aupair now .... Camille and Maicon will be leaving on 24th due to visa issues for Maicon ..... so we have an advert out again.

Kaylia has had therapy this morning ..... the difference between morning therapy and afternoon therapy is amazing!  I think she is just too tired in the afternoon.  In the morning she just buzzes!

#1247 Wednesday 13 January

She's had Friendship Club today .... And her verdict was "Good Day!"   The day included a visit to Scitech .... so it should have been a very good day for her.  She's come home and gone straight into the bubble bath ..... and now she's singing at top volume.

I've had a good day too ..... I collected another excellent load of timber thanks to Gumtree freebies!   It's mostly supplying the materials for the spa area.   This is going to be an excellent house improvement at a very low cost.

#1246 Tuesday 12 January

Kaylia has a checkup at the doctor next Monday ...... and we made the mistake of telling her!  She wants to talk about it but it's as though she always forgets to talk and instead, she nags.  When coached she'll then struggle to construct a full sentence to talk about it ..... but she would much prefer that we just read her mind when she says one word!

#1245 Monday 11 January

I was rereading yesterday's entry and it sounds a bit down .... we were all tired so it was in a way.

But this afternoon we were listening to Kaylia singing away and it struck both of us at the same time ..... how good it is to hear her like that .... not to have be constantly with her to manage her meltdowns and anxiety.  We no longer have to keep within a couple of meters of her ...... we can go into another room and just listen out!   It's wonderful.
