Naomi's thoughts as she is on the flight to Karratha.....

We had an interesting situation with Kaylia this morning .... we were in the car and doing the usual nattering ..... Kaylia began coughing at the same time as we were speaking .... it was difficult to speak.  We'd stop speaking and she was quiet.  We'd start speaking again ... and she'd do the coughing again.  It was very annoying so we told her off for it.  She really took the reprimand to heart and had to be reassured that she was ok.  She doesn't understand social situations but at the same time her feelings can be hurt easily.

This is a recent project on the Landrover...... a storage compartment built into the fender.

The new workshop platform has been greatly appreciated already.  I had to replace a radiator hose and the platform made the task much easier.

#2436 Wednesday 26th November

Kaylia's NDIS funds are very low and we're having to juggle sessions till a new period begins.  Kaylia doesn't notice.... in some ways she's enjoying it because she gets more time with me!

Naomi will be in hospital tomorrow for the regular colonoscopy.

I've bought one of these and it arrived today.

It's an elevated work rest to ease the back pain when I'm working on the Landrover.  It's well made but the assembly instructions are terrible..... whoever wrote the instruction manual clearly never attempted to follow the instructions.  It's very cursory and lacking in detail.

#2435 Wednesday 19th of November

Today was a day wben Kaylia does volunteer work at one of the op shops in Morley.  The manager was pleased with her work and rewarded her with a gift.... a jigsaw.

#2434 Sunday 16th November

It's 8.20am and I'm recovering.  Yesterday the hose under the kitchen sink burst..... a new mixer tap was needed so I got up at 6am to do the installation before breakfast.  It's a bugga of a job to work in the dark at the back of the cupboard.  Fixing the kitchen plumbing should ideally be something the landlord does but we would be without water for a long time if we were to ask...... so I did it myself.

The box containing the mixer tap appeared to be sealed and untouched..... but a fairly important part was missing. It looks as though the box has been opened in the past.  Fortunately it was something I could make so it wasn't too bad.

 We all know about the sayings that the computer listens to us ..... not long after my last post about AI and the possible benefits for us, I saw a video about a Japanese company that has developed an AI robot with human appearance and functions! I will be keen to follow up on this.
