We're back from Busselton ..... and Kaylia has discovered a new "power-word" ! We stayed in a motel sort of place that has an excellent Indian restaurant... we were in a ground floor room and the room above had a family with young kids. During the evening, their young child ran up and down the room and we were treated to an almost continuous "thump-thump-thump-thump" as the little feet ran back and forth. Kaylia was trying to sleep while this was going on ..... and she says (in her demanding tone) "QUIET"! ..... Of course the upstairs family couldn't hear her so the THUMP chorus continued. Eventually the thumping ceased and Kaylia went to sleep.
Then this morning on the drive home, Naomi was reading the interesting news items out aloud for me .... and Kaylia pipes up "Quiet"! Hilarious. She is learning to be assertive at times.
The weekend has been a pleasant change ...... low stress! In the past it's been hard to have a break without some sort of stressful event from the office ..... but as from the coming Thursday, that's behind us! The business has been sold and it's no longer Naomi's affair. The house in Darlington has had a good offer and once the sale is completed (maybe September??), our life will become much simpler.
