#2464 Saturday 4th April

Somestimes I just have to agree with the FB fountains of wisdom ..... today it's about the price of petrol .  The fuel is carried in ships which take a fair while to travel from their port of origin to Australia. So the fuel (which was bought for say $80 per barrel when loaded onto the ship) does not magically increase in cost during the trip. It has still cost the same amount when it reaches our shores.  Yet the fuel companies have immediately increased the price of ALL fuel being sold.  Why is this not seen as "price gouging"???  The logic escapes me.
