#1244 Sunday 10 January

It's 5am and Kaylia has been awake since 2am ..... or longer. That was when she came upstairs.   I tried to get her back to sleep to no avail.  It's not a full moon so I don't know what has happened tonight.   I've left her downstairs .... with her iPhone and an instruction that she can come upstairs again when the clock says 6 - 0 - 0.  It might work ..... she's becoming more away of time.

At times like this I don't growl at her because she's not being naughty ..... she just can't sleep.   She is a delightful child ..... she just has some problems.   (As I write I can hear her from her room .... making happy noises.)

Evening:  the clock trick actually worked ..... sort of.   She did come up at 6 ..... but she was raring to go!  Shower! Pancakes!

So the day continued ..... with little naps when we were running out of puff.  Now we're settling down for sleep at 7pm.

#1243 Friday 8 January

Another hot day ... poor people in Yarloop where 95 houses have burnt down ..... 

Kaylia had a good time today ..... therapy for the morning and then a drive to Bunnings ..... followed by an very long bubble bath where she managed to use about 750ml of soap while I wasn't looking!

#1243 Thursday 7 January

It's been a hot day ..... 42degrees.   Kaylees been at friendship club and seems to have enjoyed herself.  You can really only tell by her "excitement behavior" as you can't get many words out of her.   It's 5:30pm and she's in the outside bath  .... while we wait for Naomi to come home. .....  very sensible today!

#1242 Tuesday 5 January

Kaylia's at "Friendship Club" today .... she's very excited!  She really likes these days ...... during the school holidays she will have two days a week.   They do a range of activities ..... the other kids are all of similar abilities.

Evening:  Kaylia was very excited when she came home ...... her verdict was "Good day!"

It wasn't a good day for C and M though ..... Camille left her bag in the car while they were at the beach in Fremantle ... with passport and credit cards in the bag!!! ..... and a passing &$$(:;() smashed the car window and stole the bag.  The police have rung to say that the bag has been found .... but the contents aren't known yet.

#1241 Sunday 3 January

It's 8am .... we're all in bed with our 'iThings' ..... Kaylia is surfing YouTube.   One of her Christmas presents was a multi water bomb balloon .... it fills about 30 small balloons at once.   She had fun with it and now she's found YouTube clips of other people using the same toy!

Her ability to find things on YouTube is impressive.   We are so fortunate that technology took off when it did ..... it has been so good for Kaylia ...... not to mention me! ...... and Naomi!  We're all techno addicts.

Kaylia had a good night again.  More and more she is waking herself up for a 'wee run' .... unaided ..... and gets herself back to sleep.

Evening:   It's been a routine day .... pancakes .... then Aunty Moo's .....then home to relax till it was time to make pizza!   Once again Naomi's pizzas were yummy!

#1240 Saturday 2 January

Kaylia was wide awake at 3am ...... yelling with glee ..... I persuaded her to quieten down a bit and left her with her iPhone. It worked for a couple of hours and then she came upstairs and went to sleep ..... and slept ...... and slept!  She slept till 10am.

But ...... her bed was dry.  She's getting better all the time.

Her day was swimming at Bilgoman ..... then shopping.

Naomi made a delicious evening meal ..... Greek lamb.

Best wishes for the new year!  2015 was such a good year for Kaylia ..... I can only hope that it continues.

She is close to achieving the following ....

- clarity of speech

- no more wet bed at night

- going to sleep unaided

- social interaction skill

We hope that the following areas continue to progress .....

- happiness!

- imagination

- speech

I wish you could all have some time with her now .... she's such a delight!

If we ever win lotto, we will give each of you a ticket to fly out and spend some time with her.
