#1783 Sunday 18 March

It's 8:30am and Kaylia is in the bath.  She wants "2 bubble bath" but I'm refusing because she is so good at frothing up the bath.  She creates a mountain of bubbles and it's quite a mess in the bathroom.  Even with one shot of soap she manages to make a huge mound of bubbles.

I've been pondering the future of this blog.... things/life etc are very good in Kaylia's world at present.... and so I wonder about why I'm writing this blog.  I have no idea who is reading the blog as there's no way to tell....
I've thought in the past that I'm writing partly for Kaylia to have a record for herself..... but I wonder about that too.  Will she progress to a point where she is able to read .... and understand it? ..... will she be interested?

#1782 Thursday 15 March

Sorry for the gap in blogs .... I haven't been feeling well.  Fortunately Kaylia is in rip-roaring form ..... she's very happy and she is delighting in looking for things that she can do which will produce praise for her!  She is finding things .... such as picking up our plates from the table and taking them to the sink .... then it's "Good Girl???"  She's a delight.

We are saying good-bye to Harry and Elle at the end of the month.  The office need for cleaners is changing .... and Kaylia is really not needing as much after-school care .... so we are going to try a time without aupairs and we will see how it goes.

It was time for Teddy to have another bath .... so after Kaylia finished with her 'bubble-bath',  we let most of the water out .... and then plonked him in.  He wasn't too worried .... but he did look funny in the middle of all the bubbles.  The method is not really successful though.  We usually wash him in the sink and I think that is a much better method.

#1781 Sunday 11 March

Today was a 'drive to Bindoon' day ..... there's an excellent op shop there .... plus an even better bakery!  So it always  makes a good drive.  .... and its always good to see the delight on Kaylia's face when Naomi comes out of the op shop with a good dingle-dangle.

In yesterday's op shop visit in Midland, Naomi found an especially fine necklace and Kaylia was entranced!  Normally she just wants to play with them and stim with them ..... but this one?  She wanted to wear it!


Today has been rather wearing with Kaylia's looping ..... she repeats "school on Monday" over and over.  We try to interrupt the loop and we try to get her to use different words and variations .... but she keeps on with the same pattern over and over.  It gets hard to take. 

#1780 Friday 9 March

Kaylia has just arrived home from school .... her first priority is to strip off her back brace and her uniform to get cool.  Then she wants me to reassure her that she has school on Monday!

Then it's snuggle time and stim time..... usually this is iPhone.... Youtube.

#1779 Thursday 8 March

One of the beaut things that Kaylia is taught at school is how to cook.....  teaching her to be independent.  And of course she gets to eat it too.  Today she made scrambled eggs with bacon.....

Plus she ate her school lunch as well!  I think a growth spurt is a coming.  Golly she's going to be tall.

#1778 Tuesday 6 March

Poor thing ... she's not happy tonight.  Something is really bothering her and we can't work it out.  She's crying a lot and doesn't want us with her ..... but we insist that we will stay with her till she is calm and happy.  It's not nice when we can't see the problem and when she can't tell us.

We have a sort of checklist to go through .... and when none of that works, we just have to try and ride it out with her.  It may just be tiredness .... and if it's that, then she will go to sleep soon.

About an hour later and she's happy again.

#1777 Sunday 4 March

It's 9am.... Kaylia is snuggled between Naomi and I while we have a sleep in.  She's already had an hour of bathtub time and now she's muttering about "school on Tuesday".

Today will be pancakes followed by a drive.  

Later:  It was a short drive followed by a long rest.  Kaylia is very happy to amuse herself when she knows that we are close by.  She will come out of her room every now and then to check that we are there and that she has school on Tuesday .... then she goes back into her room.

I'm finding that my energy levels are very low and so I checked for medication side effects .... and found that tiredness is a side effect of every medication that I take!  Hmmm .... I'll have to think about that .... but I don't have the energy think about it.
