It was a "sleep in Sunday" morning today and Kaylia really appreciates the cuddle time ..... and then she's out of bed and it's "bubble bath" time! While she is in the bath, Naomi has some more shut-eye .... and I do the accounts for yesterday.
Then it's pancake time. More and more Kaylia is helping with preparation and with doing house things. We can easily see the effect of her school experiences .... yesterday Kaylia and Casey were baking cookies ..... Casey left it to Kaylia to judge when the cookies were ready to come out of the oven ..... and she timed it perfectly.
After breakfast this morning we drove up to Bindoon .... it's always a nice drive .... especially with such a good bakery at the destination! On the way we pass the roadworks for the Northlink ..... which always puzzles me as it seems that a huge amount of money is being spent to duplicate the part of the northern highway which is in the best condition .... and the roadworks finish where the northern road deteriorates into a rough bumpy road in bad need of repair! Go figure!
While we drove Naomi and I were musing about how happy Kaylia is these days compared with a few years ago ..... and we realised that we can even see a difference in the past few weeks! Currently she has begun parroting things were say ..... so we're using that to help her improve her articulation ...... we say something in a different voice and she parrots it back to us.
