Good morning! This morning there was a nice email from Anni waiting ... a good way to start the day after a good night. Kaylia slept well and came up at 6am .... she is reading the time and she knows when she is supposed to come up - even if she doesn't always come up at the right time!
This morning she passed another small milestone .... we play a game where I say "I see Kaylia!' ..... usually she just echoes it back ..... but today she said "I see Daddy!" ..... it's only a little thing but all the little things count!
Tina is now in NZ ... away for three weeks having a break with her brother Benny before uni starts again. As Tina was leaving it seemed that Kaylia understood ... she thought about it and said "Tina come back" .
Last night as I was driving home after taking Tina to the airport, the Australia Day fireworks were in full swing .... near home I stopped to watch and had to think about how un-patriotic we are! We hadn't given Australia Day a thought till then .... it was just a reason that we couldn't work.
