11:30am All's well .... sort of .... Naomi & Kaylia are off swimming. Kaylia is still 'nagging' for things she wants .... but we have a distraction strategy which seems to be working well. When she nags, we warn her and if she then continues, we sing "Bob the builder" song ... this tells her that we are not going to listen to nagging. She understands and is exasperated at first ... then she treats it as a joke & joins in! If the distraction doesn't work and she goes on nagging, then it is time-out. But so far, the distraction often works.
We topped up the ball-pit with some more balls yesterday .... she loves it. Since it is in her room, it's at a comfortable temperature and she can spend lots of time 'swimming' in the balls. She likes to get right under them .... I hope that when she is able to talk to us, she will still remember what it is that she likes about it so she can tell us.
